Because some of my favorite people couldn’t make my West Indies bachelorette party, my sweet friends Ann and Jess decided to plan another celebration, right here in New York City.
I felt like I’d been doing so much planning lately, with everything that needs to happen for the wedding, so when they asked whether there was anything in particular I wanted to do, I told them I wanted to be surprised. And surprise me they did… in the best possible way, of course!
We began with brunch at City Vineyard. It’s located in Tribeca, on Pier 26 on the Hudson River, and feels like a garden oasis.
Speaking of gardens, the ladies were so cute in their flower crowns and pink attire! I love any party that has a good theme!
We began with a round of drinks.
And a round of oysters.
For main courses, a few of us ordered the Croque Madame with béchamel, levain bread, country ham, gruyere and egg.
While others ordered the Fresh Berry Parfait with honey yogurt and house made granola.
Or the French Omelet with fin herbs and fresh mozzarella.
Or the Kale, Arugula & Spinach salad with strawberries, spiced sunflower seeds, and lemon-ginger dressing.
The drinks were great, which of course also made the food great!
After we ate, we took in the view… and a few pictures too.
And then there were more surprises in store!
The day continued with hilariously fun activities that were perfect for a bachelorette party (but not necessarily perfect for documenting publicly in a blog post – ha!) so I’ll leave it off here. Suffice it to say, I had the best day, and felt so grateful for how much effort the ladies put in to make sure I felt loved and celebrated.
I am lucky to be marrying an incredible guy, and I’m equally lucky to have such wonderful, caring friends with whom to share life’s big moments.
You ladies are the absolutely BEST!
