Lately, ice cream sundaes have been my go-to dessert. So I figured why not spice things up with an ice cream sundae cake?!
The recipe is obviously no-bake, and is laughably easy. To make, you’ll need:
12 ice cream sandwiches
1 tub Cool Whip
Magic Shell caramel syrup
And whatever sundae toppings you’d like! If you want to go all out, I recommend:
Begin by lining up three ice cream sandwiches on your serving dish.
Then spread the Magic Shell caramel syrup over the top.
Now add another layer of three ice cream sandwiches, placed so they’re going in the opposite direction.
Then top with another layer of Magic Shell caramel syrup which, when it hardens, will act like glue to keep the sandwiches together. Repeat until you have four rows of sandwiches.
This will be the base of your cake (see, laughably easy)!
Cover the cake in Cool Whip.
And top with the Magic Shell caramel syrup and your chocolate syrup.
Now comes the fun part. You can decorate your cake with whatever sundae toppings you desire. I added crushed Oreos.
And chopped walnuts.
Then I topped the cake with Whipped Cream and Maraschino cherries.
And that’s all! It’s an easy, fun cake to make, and it will look much more difficult than it actually is!
Talk about a sundae funday!
