If you remember from our engagement story, Greg and I did things a bit out of order! We knew right away that this was going to be forever, so in October 2017 we booked our wedding church and venue for October 2019. Then we moved in together and then, after much deliberation, I finally designed the ring I wanted and Greg officially proposed once it was ready.
While we didn’t formally announce our engagement until Greg officially proposed, we did do lots of wedding planning so we could have our first choice in photographer, florist, band, etc. And when we were given the opportunity to take engagement pictures with Rosie Cohe, a photographer for Rolling Stone, we jumped at the chance!
We met her in Central Park early one morning this past summer, armed with several different outfits and lots of coffee. We immediately fell in love with her, and she created some beautiful images with us.
(All of the below images were taken by Rosie Cohe).
Then after spending about two hours in the park, we headed out into the Upper East Side to take a few more pictures with more of a New York City feel.
And because sometimes photos are just better in black and white, here’s round two of the shots with less color and more… mood.
Rosie was wonderful to work with, and we love being able to say we had a Rolling Stone photographer do our New York City engagement shoot! You can find Rosie’s website here.
Did we absolutely need three engagement shoots? No, certainly not. But do I regret it? No, certainly not!
