There’s truly nothing better than celebrating your friends’ milestones, especially when the celebration involves a fabulous brunch and crazy cocktails!
And we had something huge to celebrate: Steph was matched with her first choice for her residency! It’s a major accomplishment (and very well deserved!) so we immediately headed to Sugar Factory on the Upper West Side to party it up over drinks, candy and food!
The decor is the right mix of classy and fun, which perfectly sets the mood (and perfectly describes my friends)!
We started with cocktails, because #obviously. And Sugar Factory’s goblets are anything but boring!
Because photos don’t truly do the experience justice, here’s Kendall’s video capturing the action:
This is The Watermelon Patch with vodka, rum, fresh watermelon, fresh lemon and citrus soda topped with a mountain of gummy sour watermelon slices. It was the best cocktail of the day, and funnily enough was designed for the restaurant by Pitbull.
This was the prettiest drink we ordered, the Lollipop Passion. It’s a blend of melon, coconut and pineapple and is topped with lollipops and a candy necklace. I didn’t love the taste but I loved how instagram-able it looked.
The Berry Bliss was also delicious. It has a mix of strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries.
The goblets are massive so we shared all of them!
At some point we realized we should probably ingest some food too. We ordered the Strawberry Brioche French Toast topped with fresh mixed berries, vanilla ice cream and whipped cream and served with whipped butter and warm maple syrup. It was decadent and fabulous!
We also had the Manhattan Eggs Benedict with two poached farm-fresh eggs with wild Alaskan smoked salmon and grilled asparagus over scalloped potatoes and topped with fresh herb hollandaise and served with fresh fruit.
And we dined on the Ham & Cheese Croissant with sliced black forrest ham and aged cheddar on a toasted, buttery croissant and served with home fries.
And we ordered the Veggie Omelet with three farm-fresh eggs, aged cheddar, fresh herbs, crimini mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, green and red bell peppers, asparagus and spinach served with fresh fruit.
And we had the Chinese Chicken Salad with shredded cabbage, crispy wontons, julienne carrots, water chestnuts, green onions, basil, toasted sesame seeds, roasted peanuts and fresh cilantro topped with ginger sesame dressing.
By this time we’d finished our goblets, so we ordered more drinks, like this delicious Peace, Love & Harmonie which is a margarita made with Hpnotiq Harmonie and natural fruits.
We were certainly enjoying our morning (read: tipsy) so when the waiter passed us with a fabulous-looking dessert we called him over and told him about this blog and asked to take a picture with it. Surprisingly he said yes, and after that point whenever he had a unique-looking item to deliver he would swing by our table first so I could take a picture. How fun is that?!
We then left Sugar Factory and went to a bar, and then to another bar, and then to another, until the next thing we knew it was dark outside. Now that’s a good way to do brunch, if I do say so myself! It was such a fabulous day and the perfect way to celebrate Steph’s incredible accomplishment.

Congratulations Steph! Pretty and smart, what more could you ask for?!
