Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
We celebrated early this year with a Happy Hour hosted by SSMAC’s Junior Committee at St. James Gate on the Upper West Side. As you know from past events, SSMAC is the Soliders’, Sailors’, Marines’, Coast Guard and Airmen’s Club dedicated to supporting our troops and veterans in New York City. I’ve been involved with SSMAC since 2016 and the Military Ball and Kentucky Derby Party have been my favorite events so far!
Our St. Patrick’s Day Happy Hour was also a great time, with everyone draping themselves in green accessories and toasting to being Irish (or wishing they were)! My favorite Irish saying? If you’re lucky enough to be Irish, you’re lucky enough!
After several hours of drinking and celebrating, we ended the evening with a few raffles.
And, funnily enough, there was only one lucky winner who won draw after draw! She must be Irish!
It was a really fun night and, most importantly, we raised a significant amount of money for our troops. That’s right, our Guinness was for a good cause!
