Sundays are for brunches, at least in New York City.
Over the past few months I’ve gone to Tanner Smith’s twice for brunch, which is a significant amount of times in a city full of restaurants! So I figured it was about time I wrote about it.
Tanner Smith’s has a warm, cozy vibe.
Which is made even more special by live jazz during weekend brunchtime (if brunchtime isn’t a word it should be)!
The last time I went I was joined by some of my favorites, Ann and Lauren.
And Steph, Nicole and Jess!
I just love Tanner Smith’s coasters, they provide such solid life advice.
Go on. Be a full gangster.
After a round of drinks, Ann and Jess both ordered the Brussel Sprout Hash with fried eggs and dill crème. They even added bacon, because what’s brunch without bacon?
Nicole had the Eggs Benedict.
While I had the Smoked Salmon Benedict.
My dish was just ok, I wouldn’t particularly recommend it.
Lauren had the Goat Cheese Croquette Salad with arugula, chick peas, roasted red pepper, artichoke hearts and citrus vinaigrette. It may not look like much but apparently it was absolutely delicious since she still talks about it!
We ate fairly healthy this time around, but if you’re looking to treat yourself a little more I recommend Tanner Smith’s Shrimp ‘n’ Grits Skillet, the Mac & Cheese, or the Grilled Cheese.

It’s always brunchtime somewhere!
