After a wonderful Quadrille season (and an especially fabulous Quadrille Ball), our leadership team wanted to thank our Junior Committee for all of their hard work. So Andrew, Lauren, Taylor and I planned a fun Mardi Gras celebration at Mel’s Burger Bar on the Upper East Side.
I kept wanting to call it “Party Gras” but Lauren vetoed that idea, so we just called it a “JC Thank-You Party.” But I’m going to call it “Party Gras” here, since it’s my blog and Lauren can’t veto what I write – ha!
We had masks and beads for everyone, as well as a massive amount of drinks, burgers, fries, and chicken fingers.
Mel’s was really accommodating to our group and gave us a private room and even threw in extra food to make sure we had more than enough. Plus our waitress was the absolute sweetest! Our experience working with Mel’s was great and I definitely recommend them for your next low-key event.
It was fun having everyone back together again without the pressures of the season. This time instead of having to focus on dancer curtseys and bows we could just focus on drinking and talking. I know, tough evening, right?!
Thank you for everything, Junior Committee!
We couldn’t have done it without you!
