My mom loves Broadway shows (the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, does it?!) so when she was visiting me I decided to surprise her with tickets to The Parisian Woman for her birthday.
The Parisian Woman stars Uma Thurman and Josh Lucas (love him in Sweet Home Alabama!) and is written by House of Cards‘ creator Beau Willimon. From that sentence alone you know it’s going to be a good show!

The play has nothing to do with Paris, actually. Instead it follows Chloe, a socialite, as she navigates the world of politics in Washington DC. The acting is superb, and Uma was especially remarkable.

I was continually surprised by The Parisian Woman’s plot, and didn’t anticipate any of its twists and turns. It was very cleverly written, and kept us on the edge of our seats. I definitely recommend seeing it!

Everyone in New York is talking about The Parisian Woman right now, so you don’t want to miss it! You can find out more information, and get tickets, here.
Happy birthday mom!
