At the end of October, Louis Vuitton opened its pop-up exhibition Volez Voguez Voyagez in the American Stock Exchange Building and since then every fashionista and instagram aficionado has gone to see it, posting pictures of themselves decked out in all of the Louis Vuitton they own.
I didn’t want to miss out on the fun, so when my mom was visiting we went with my friend Nicole to check it out. Sadly, we were not decked out in any Louis Vuitton!
The exhibition follows the brand, and Louis himself, throughout history. As the years progress so do the fashions, and you get to witness not just changing trends but changing materials and clientele.
Now I have to warn you, there are a lot of trunks! But it is interesting to see how people used to travel. I’m so grateful for our modern rolling suitcases!
This is one of my favorite displays. It reminds me of my glamping experience in the Moroccan desert!
Does this pattern bring back memories of high school? It’s funny to see how much the brand has changed, even in my lifetime!
Is this how “fanny” pack got its name?!
The last room is my favorite. It has famous dresses worn at recent awards shows, along with pictures of the stars who wore them.
Louis Vuitton loves America.
And New York City loves Louis Vuitton’s Exhibition!
