Tuesday-night Quadrille rehearsals are in full swing (read more about them here). But since Halloween fell on a Tuesday this year, and we didn’t want to rehearse on such a fun holiday, I decided (being the Ladies’ Chair has its perks!) that the Junior Committee and prospective dancers should have a party instead.
So on Halloween we had a special Quadrille Halloween party which I hope will now become a Quadrille tradition. Not a bad legacy to leave, if I do say so myself!
Greg and I coordinated our costumes. Initially we were going to go as Vincent van Gogh and his Starry Night painting. But then Greg had the clever idea of giving our looks more Halloween flair by changing them to “Vincent van Ghost” and “Scarry Night.”
It was fun seeing everyone dressed up in their costumes. Leave it to Quadrillers to go all out!
I had to laugh at these costumes. Only at a Quadrille event would two people, completely unplanned, BOTH dress as Karl Lagerfeld!
At the end of the night awards were given out for best costumes.
And Greg and I won the Most Creative Costume Award!
We’d like to thank the Academy…
Our award came with this adorable shot glass trophy. I bet the statues at the Academy Awards can’t do that!
It was such a fabulous party!
Hope your Halloween was equally amazing!
