One of the things I brought home with me after my autumn weekend in Vermont is this cute little leaf-shaped maple syrup bottle.
So of course I had to make something deliciously fall to go along with it! I decided on Pumpkin Spice French Toast because I love French toast and anything at all with pumpkin spice (yes, I’m one of those girls)! It’s perfect for Halloween morning, Thanksgiving morning, and basically every morning for the next two months!
It’s also super easy, which is good because I am super lazy when it comes to cooking!
To make my Pumpkin Spice French Toast, you’ll need:
3/4 cup 2% milk
1/2 cup pumpkin puree
2 tablespoons light brown sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons pumpkin pie spice
Maple syrup fresh from Vermont (or, in a pinch, any other maple syrup)!
Begin by whisking everything together besides the bread and maple syrup.
Then dip the bread into the mixture, generously coating both sides.
Transfer to a pan and cook until it’s golden.
Then place on a plate and cover with your desired amount of Vermont maple syrup!
If this Pumpkin Spice French Toast doesn’t give you serious fall vibes, I don’t know what will!
