I wanted to get away from the city over Labor Day weekend (who doesn’t?!) so Greg planned a surprise trip for me (and him)! He didn’t tell me where we were going, and instead gave me a purposely vague packing list that narrowed down our travel options to trekking through the desert, scaling Mount Everest, or anything in between.
On Friday morning he picked me up and revealed our destination: Vermont!
We wanted to make the most of the nice weather (and the hint of fall in the air!) so we spent most of Saturday hiking.
I know hiking is supposed to be about the journey, not the destination, but look at how amazing this destination is:
We truly were worlds away from New York City.
It was such an incredible weekend, and I’m really glad we got out of the city (and didn’t have to scale Mount Everest)!
Vermont is absolutely gorgeous in the summer, and I think it would be even more wonderful in the height of autumn. Fancy another trip, Greg?
