About a year ago, I noticed that my friend Olivia had the coolest sketch on the background of her phone. When she revealed that it was a sketch of her I was immediately jealous, and asked who the artist was, thinking I would try to have my own sketch made. I was shocked when she revealed it was made in an app!
Chic Sketch allows you to upload a picture and receive a custom sketch for $9.99 for a standard image or $14.99 for a high resolution image. If you want to skip the line, and get a sketch usually that same day, you can pay an extra $4.99.
I uploaded my first image and eagerly awaited the result. When it arrived I was blown away! Look at how cool my sketch from the Secret Garden Party is!
I then spent this past year uploading photos from every event, loving how gorgeous the sketches looked. Like this one from the Quadrille Spring Soirée:
The Rex Ball:
The Mayflower Ball:
My trip to Hungary:
And just hanging out in New York City:
It’s fun having these moments captured via sketch, and I loved most of the artist renditions (especially because they draw the best possible versions of you)!
Occasionally I would receive a sketch that I didn’t love, and customer service was always happy to reassign the image to another artist.
Check out these sketches from my birthday:
The British Bash:
And my trip to Chicago:
In fact, the reason why I waited so long to write this post is because I kept having events that I wanted to get sketches of and include!
Like the Military Ball:
Another Mayflower Ball sketch:
And of course this year’s Quadrille Ball:
I’m seriously obsessed with Chic Sketch! You can download the app by clicking here.
And feel free to tell people that you drew the sketches yourself. I won’t tell anyone!
