Birthday Tea at BG

I celebrated my actual birthday in Budapest (crazy blog post here!), but before I left for my trip I wanted to get together with a few of my New York City girlfriends to celebrate… me. So we headed to Bergdorf Goodman for the classiest of birthday celebrations: afternoon tea.

My birthday dress was by Stylestalker and I absolutely loved it! Marilyn, Gretchen, Ann and Kendall were also dressed to impress… me!

Don’t they all look gorgeous?!

Bergdorf Goodman’s BG Restaurant is located on the store’s seventh floor and has massive windows with sweeping views of Central Park. It’s one of the most picturesque places for afternoon tea in the city.

As with most afternoon teas, each person selects their own tea and receives their own individual tea pot. Then the table is laid with a generous amount of tea sandwiches, freshly-baked scones with fruit preserves and Devonshire cream, and a variety of petite desserts and sweets.

Everything was absolutely delicious! Although the best part of course was spending time with some of my favorite people. You girls are the best!

At the end of the tea it was time for one more dessert: birthday cake!

We brought in a cake from Two Little Red Hens and it tasted fabulous! I highly recommend their bakery!

Afternoon tea at BG is served daily from 3-5. To make a reservation call (212) 872-8977, or for more information click here.

Happy birthday to me!
