Spring is here! Which means it’s time for fresh ingredients, bold colors and delicious flavors.
These three things come together perfectly in my Fruit Bruschetta recipe. It’s the perfect spring appetizer!
To make Fruit Bruschetta, you’ll need:
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
Plain whipped cream cheese spread
French baguette
Butter
Fresh berries (I chose strawberries, raspberries and blackberries)
To prep, preheat your oven to 300°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon.
Slice the baguette into 1/4 inch pieces.
Then place the baguette slices onto the baking sheet.
And spread butter onto each slice.
Now cover the slices with the brown sugar and cinnamon mix, and bake them for 8 minutes.
While they’re baking, cut up your berries.
When the slices are done, they should look like this:
While the bread is warm, spread the cream cheese onto each slice.
Then cover the bread with the berries! You can choose to do one type of berry per slice.
Or you can mix berries, which is my preference (because it’s so pretty!).
Serve the bruschetta while it’s warm, and get ready for it to be gone in minutes!
Happy spring indeed!
