Carnivale Masquerade Ball

Valentine’s Day weekend (which seems like forever ago now!) my friends and I started the celebrations with a Saturday night Carnivale Masquerade Ball.

It was held at NYAC, the members-only New York Athletic Club which is basically a social club that has exercise on the side (my kind of athletic club!). The evening was hosted by the Swimming and Water Polo Intra Club in association with the Mercury Society and the Boxing Club. Black tie attire was recommended, but there was only one real requirement: you must wear a mask!

Which leads to the obvious question. Who wore it better?!

I think Khary and Christopher may have won that round!

There was a prize for the best ensemble, and Marilyn and I did our best to win it.

But we were upstaged by Anton’s mask!

Do our masks look familiar? We picked them up during our Mardi Gras celebrations in New Orleans!

The evening had food, an open bar, and live performances. Oh and a photo booth that we may have taken a few too many pictures in…

But the highlight of the party, of course, was the dancing!

You can find out more about the New York Athletic Club by clicking here. But if you want to start attending NYAC events, you’re just going to have to make friends with the members!

Thanks Khary!
