I absolutely love living in New York, but every so often I feel like I need to get out of the city for a bit. So last weekend I packed a bag and headed to Madison, Connecticut to spend Easter with my family.
Wondering what kind of bag I packed? Robert Matthew of course!
Robert Matthew’s new line is perfect for spring. I love this Scarlett Tote in blue sky (to clarify, Scarlett Tote is the name of the bag and blue sky is the color!). It has the softest vegan leather, and is super cute.
Plus, it’s perfect for travel. It’s large enough to carry all of your weekend clothes and necessities. Then when you arrive, you can unpack and use the bag as your purse. Every wanderlust-er needs one!
Isn’t the inside lining adorable?!
It received so many compliments at Easter dinner!
The table was adorable, and felt like it was straight out of Pinterest.
I couldn’t get over this lamb butter! So cute!
Although, cutting into it was a bit weird!
These egg cupcakes were fun too.
Yum!
After dinner, we have a family tradition involving decorated hard-boiled eggs. We each grab one, and alternate between hitting the pointy ends and the round ends against each other’s eggs. The winner is the one whose egg doesn’t crack!
This is how it’s done:
I was winning for awhile, until…
Noooo!
We ended the day by surprising my aunt with a birthday cake.
Happy birthday Aunt Colleen!
Then it was time to grab my bag and head home.
Yep, I’m definitely glad that I got out of the city!
To buy your own Robert Matthew handbag for your next trip, click here. I can’t recommend them enough, and will definitely be bringing mine on my next vacation (hopefully to Croatia!).
If you love my bag as much as I do, you can find it here. It retails for $199 and also comes in teal, peach, khaki, cream and black.
I hope your Easter was as happy as mine!
