The amazing holiday parties continued last week with the Texas Exes Holiday Hoedown. Texas Exes is a social group for alumni of the University of Texas (not a support group after breaking up with a Texan!). The organization is involved in philanthropy, scholarships, game watching, and luckily… partying!
The hashtag for the event was #HolidayHoHoHoedown, which I thought was pretty clever!
It was held at Hill Country in Brooklyn, which is named in honor of my favorite city in Texas! It was so much fun being able to throw my horns up again!
I even taught Jess how to do it!
The event had an open bar, delicious BBQ, and dancing. But the best part was the photo booth!
The props were so much fun!
Jess and I failed miserably the first time we did the photo booth, and only got two (semi) decent shots. First with our respective holidays…
…and then I don’t even know what this is.
We were determined to make our second go around more successful. It was… barely.
Since third time’s a charm, we finally nailed it!
It was a fun night filled with “Texas Fight!” cheers and country music. I loved being around my fellow Texas Exes again!
The best part is that the event raised money for our chapter’s scholarship fund. So all of the photo booth-ing was for a good cause! If you’re interested in supporting the next generation of Texas Exes, click here.
New York has so many fabulous Christmas parties, but there’s nothing quite like a Holiday Ho Ho Hoedown!
