I have a new bounce in my step, and that’s because there’s a new bounce to my hair!
The boutique hair salon Fox & Jane has long been known for its expertise in hair styling and color, especially hand-painted Balayage highlights. It recently opened its fifth salon on the Upper West Side, and invited me in for a service.
I hadn’t cut my hair in forever (I’m not even going to tell you when, it’s embarrassing!) so I made an appointment with Ritchie and began Pinterest-ing new styles.
The salon is gorgeous and cozy, and has a perfect “high-end but relaxed” vibe. Yes, that’s a thing! Considering HGTV celebrity designer Bobby Berk created the space, I expected nothing less!
Notice the hamburger on the wall? After staring at it throughout my haircut, you’ll never guess what I had for dinner!
Since I moved here, I have had the hardest time finding a hairstylist that I love. That is until Ritchie came into my life! He is absolutely amazing!
I showed him some pictures and we discussed what I wanted (more layers and bangs). We talked for a bit about my styling habits and what I was looking for in a haircut, and eliminated what wouldn’t work with my lifestyle (bangs!). I appreciated Ritchie’s honesty, and how he took the time to work with me to find a hairstyle that I would love, but also wouldn’t take forever in the morning (because nobody has time for that!).
The before picture:
Look at how long my hair was!
I returned from the shampoo chair to a fun surprise:
I know, I know, hair appointments can be so difficult sometimes!
Ta-da! The finished look:
I love the new layers, and how much movement it adds to my hair. I don’t even need a Beyoncé wind machine to look good!
Thank you so much Ritchie and Fox & Jane!
I highly recommend checking out Fox & Jane’s new UWS salon, and booking an appointment with Ritchie or any of its other fabulous stylists.
If you get Balayage highlights let me know, I’m planning on trying them next time I visit!
