It’s that time of year again! The air is fresher, the sky is brighter, clothes are crazier, and dozens of male models wander the streets of New York.
It’s New York Fashion Week!
Thanks to Kendall (who has now cemented her status as my favorite person in the entire world!), Jessica and I were invited to see Rebecca Taylor’s Spring/Summer 2015 runway show.
Attending a runway show at NYFW is on my bucket list, so I was literally dancing around my apartment when I found out!
We arrived fashionably late, and were still there 30 minutes before the show actually started. Pro tip: fashion show start times are really more like… guidelines…
We walked in past the photographers, expecting dozens of flashbulbs to go off. Instead, we got this:
Obviously they didn’t recognize us!
We headed to our seats, in the front row, obviously.
Ok, fine, we weren’t quite in the front row. But third row’s not so bad!
While waiting for the show to start, we watched fashion’s elite mingle.
And saw a familiar face: J. Alexander from America’s Next Top Model!
Once everyone took their seats it was time for the show to begin!
Once of my favorite parts was watching the expressions (or lack thereof!) on J. Alexander’s face as the models went by! Here he is, bottom right:
Here are some of the most noteworthy looks from the show:
And these were my personal favorites:
The show was over much too quickly!
And then everyone jumped up and literally ran out the door to head to the next show. It was so funny, I’ve never seen a room empty so quickly! Jessica and I were wondering if there was a fire!
A few stragglers hung around for interviews, so we did our best to overhear what they were saying.
We finally had to tear ourselves away. We headed out through a backstage area (that some would call creepy), and decided to take a few “artistic” model shots.
I don’t know if I’ve ever had this much fun crossing something off of my bucket list!
