Breakfast is hands down my favorite meal of the day. There is nothing better than waking up and eating a good meal! Over the weekend, my mom and I went to Leo & Lily, a lovely cafe in Woodland Hills. The restaurant is bright, airy, and very inviting.
Leo & Lily fuses European and Mediterranean flavors to create a unique and droolworthy menu. My mom and I couldn’t decide what to order, so we thought the best option was to order a few dishes and share everything!
We started with the Whole Wheat French Toast, which is almond-crusted and served with Greek yogurt orange cream, maple butter, and a few strawberries on top. It was a unique twist on traditional French toast and was so delicious!
Leo & Lily is known for its Shakshuka, so ordering this dish was a must. Shakshuka is slowly cooked tomatoes, peppers, onions, and spices topped with poached eggs. It is such a beautiful dish to look at and was bursting with flavor. We loved it!
Our last dish was My Momma’s Borekas, which are puffed pastry wrapped around feta, goat and asiago cheese, and served with herbs, olives, and tomato cucumber salad. We were oohing and aahing as we ate it.
I loved everything about Leo & Lily – from the food to the ambiance, it has it all!
