There are three things you need for a perfect summer vacation: a cute bikini, your toes in the sand, and a good book. Oh and good friends. Plus some beachside drinks are always nice. And fun music. And ice cream…
Anyway, my point is this: Kendall invited Steph and me to her family’s beach house on Amelia Island, and the result was a week filled with all of the things that make vacation wonderful.
Every day we woke up to the sound of the waves hitting the sand, and headed down to the beach…
I loved being by the ocean again. I had really missed it after leaving California!
I even found my first starfish!
And my name! What are the odds?!
High, actually, because I wrote it…
And in honor of our blog I wrote this too:
Our days at the beach looked like this:
But don’t worry- there was a lifeguard on duty!
Other days we headed to the nearby Ritz-Carlton to lay by the pool.
And then our days looked like this!
On one of my favorite days, Steph and I woke up early and headed down to the beach. She has an amazing camera (and is quite the photographer!) and offered to take pictures of me by the water.
And since I love pictures (of myself, who are we kidding!) I had to take her up on it!
Still working on that hair flip…
After our “photoshoot,” we immediately began seeing which insta filters looked the best so we could make everyone back home jealous of our vacation!
Check out my favorite:
Some nights we ventured into downtown Amelia Island for dinner, where we were always treated to the most amazing sunsets.
Which could only mean one thing… SUNSET SELFIES!!
I LOVED being able to get away from it all and relax with two of my favorite people. Stay tuned to learn how to make a vacation-y seafood recipe and hear about a beachside restaurant with an amazing concept.
In the meantime, I’ll just be dreaming about my perfect summer vacation…
