Saturdays Off the 405

This past Saturday I went to Saturdays Off the 405, a summer concert series held at the Getty Museum in Los Angeles. It’s a wonderful event – you can listen to live music while sipping on wine or beer, take in the gorgeous views, and peruse the art exhibitions, all in one beautiful location!

The event runs from 6:00-9:00 p.m., and when my friend and I got there a crowd had already started forming in the courtyard. It couldn’t have been a more perfect summer day.

Before the music started, we walked around the grounds and enjoyed the gardens and the view.

It was a clear day and you could see for miles!

Finally it was time for the music to start! The band playing that night was called Chicano Batman, and they describe their style as a mix of Latin and soul music.

After listening to the music for a while, we checked out some of the art exhibits and came back outside just in time to catch the sunset.

It was such a lovely evening and a really fun and different way to spend a Saturday night. The next event takes place on July 26, so go check it out!
