The Meatball Shop

As an early birthday celebration (I am a big believer in birthday month!) Blair, Kendall and I went out to dinner on the Upper East Side. Blair suggested The Meatball Shop, which specializes in dozens of different ways to prepare meatballs.

Blair, why am I just hearing about this place now?!

Ordering is the best part. You are given the menu and a marker, and from there you place check marks next to everything you want. It was really hard to stop checking!

The Meatball Shop is known for its sliders, and you can choose both the meat and the sauce.

Have you noticed all of the (meat)ball jokes?

I ordered… a lot.

I chose the night’s special, a buffalo chicken meatball with blue cheese sauce.

I also got a classic beef meatball with parmesan cream sauce.

My two favorites were the spicy pork meatball with tomato sauce.

And I also loved the chicken meatball with pesto sauce.

Kendall went a little less crazy with the ordering…

One of her sliders was a chicken meatball with tomato sauce.

Kendall also ordered a bun-less slider, basically to see what would happen. It arrived in a cute little pot of meatball!

Blair branched out a little more than we did, and ordered the daily risotto. He asked for his on the side, but you can also order it to go under your meatballs.

It looked heavenly.

Blair also went with the “naked balls.” The menu calls it that, I promise!

He chose classic beef for his meatballs with a spicy meat sauce. They arrived covered in sauce and parmesan cheese with focaccia bread on top.

The meal was delicious, and we were so full after!

Which was disappointing, because ordering dessert looked like a lot of fun…
