A few Sundays ago I was invited to a summer kick-off party at Moore Dancing, a new dance studio located in Brentwood. Moore Dancing touts itself as LA’s first cardio dance studio, and offers a variety of full-body dance workouts in a fun and energizing atmosphere.
The summer kick-off party I attended was a two-hour, non-stop cardio dance session designed to showcase the different types of dance classes offered at the studio.
Jana and I arrived at the studio and warmed up with the rest of the group. I have to say, I was more than a little nervous! It had been a LONG time since I last took a dance class.
We got distracted by the goodies that were set up at the back of the studio, and quickly abandoned our stretching to check out the food being served. Just what you should do before a two-hour dance class, right?!
Cold-pressed juices, fruit, wraps, and other healthy snacks were up for grabs. Yum!
I know I know, we were there to dance! Over the next two hours, we tried hip hop, rumba, zumba, burlesque, and the “shimmy shape up,” among others. We danced our butts off!
We ended the class by striking a pose.
Jana and I had so much fun at this event! The instructors were fantastic and we really got a full-body workout. If you live in the Brentwood area, make sure to check out Moore Dancing!
