Burrito Pie

¡Hola! ¡Feliz Cinco de Mayo!

In honor of the upcoming Mexican holiday (that primarily Americans celebrate!) I decided to make a Mexican Burrito Pie that is easy and sooooo delicious!

To make, you’ll need:

1 tube (8 ounces) crescent rolls

1 pound ground beef

1 can (16 ounces) black beans

1 envelope taco seasoning

8 ounces shredded Mexican cheese

8 ounces cheddar cheese

1 tomato

1 avocado

Lettuce

Start by preheating your oven to 350 degrees. Then cook the beef thoroughly.

Once the beef is cooked and drained, add the black beans and the taco seasoning.

And mix together.

Now for the best part!

YAY!

Unroll the crescent roll dough and spread it on the bottom and sides of a buttered 9×13 inch baking dish. Make sure to seal any gaps in the dough.

Now spread the meat and bean mixture on the dough.

And then it’s time for the cheese!

Bake for 30 minutes. While that’s cooking, start cutting up your vegetable toppings! I chose tomato, avocado and lettuce, but you can add whatever you wish, including peppers and black olives!

The burrito pie is ready once the crust is golden and the cheese is nice and melty.

Now add the fiesta! (read: toppings).

Your burrito pie is now ready to serve!

Now you’re all set for your Cinco de Mayo party! Or all of your dinners for next week, either way.

Buen provecho!
