What were you doing this past Saturday at, let’s say, 6:30 in the morning? Sleeping? In a deep slumber, exhausted from a Friday night out?
Not me. I was knee-deep in flowers!
My sister and I woke up before dawn to visit the Los Angeles Flower Market. Located downtown, at 754 Wall Street (between 7th & 8th Streets), the LA Flower Market is a massive 50,000 square feet marketplace filled with gorgeous flowers for sale. We got there early while the best selection of flowers were still available.
I can’t even begin to put into words how beautiful the flowers are, and how amazing the marketplace smells. It truly is a feast for the senses! We walked from vendor to vendor with wide eyes and big smiles, oohing and aahing at the flower selections.
It took all of our restraint not to buy one of everything!
One of my favorite flowers are hydrangeas, and the variety of colors sold are so beautiful.
My other favorite flowers, tulips, didn’t disappoint either! Just look at these colors!
I absolutely loved the exotic flowers. And the cacti!
How fun are these rainbow-colored roses?!
When we couldn’t possibly carry any more flower bouquets, we finally called it a day. When we got home, my sister made these beautiful arrangements with the flowers she had bought.
Everyone should visit the flower market. It is such a wonderful way to spend a morning. You’ll leave with a smile on your face, I guarantee it!
Happy almost Spring!
