As you all know, Jenny came to visit me a few weeks ago. Before we headed off to New York Fashion Week we decided to do something that very few people at NYFW did that day: eat! After wandering through Central Park, we ended up at A. G. Kitchen, a restaurant by chef Alex Garcia.
Since New York is one of the best places to people watch, we decided to sit in the indoor patio section with giant windows looking out onto Columbus Ave.
We wanted to splurge a little, so we ordered a Salted Carmel Milkshake to share. BIG mistake! You will NOT want to share it!
I looked down for one second, and when I looked up Jenny was eating it with a spoon and straw at the same time! It was hilarious.
Needless to say, it was very good!
For her lunch, Jenny ordered the Tuna Melt with fresh tuna salad, swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions and Hollywood fries.
We still don’t quite understand what “Hollywood” fries are, but we do know that they are great!
A. G. Kitchen is famous for its guacamole. In fact, The Huffington Post describes it as “the best guacamole in America!” And we were lucky- we got to watch the fresh guacamole being made from where we were sitting!
I had to try this guacamole, so I ordered the Manhattan Latin cheeseburger with guacamole, bacon, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, onions and A. G. sauce. How fun is that name?!
I really liked the guacamole! It made me want to set up my own taste test to determine the best in America!
A. G. Kitchen is a perfect lunch spot, especially if you go with a shake or the guacamole. Now off to show Jenny my city!
