This past weekend, G and I left the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles for a much-needed few days of wine tasting in Sonoma County. We hopped into our car after work on Friday night, and didn’t reach her house until well past midnight. Exhausted, we crawled straight into bed and were dead to the world.
I awoke early the next morning, threw on some clothes, and headed outside to catch what was left of the sunrise.
It’s almost too beautiful to be real, isn’t it?!
When G got up, we started our first day of wine tasting in nearby Healdsburg. We went from one tasting room to another, drinking, eating, and drinking some more!
This was the first time I’ve been to a tasting room where they poured all 4 tastings at once. It was so nice to go back and forth between the wines and compare them.
For our second day of wine tasting, we visited the vineyards, rather than just the tasting rooms. The views were even better…
On Sunday night, I said goodbye to Sonoma just the way I had started the trip…by sitting outside, taking in the view, and feeling grateful.
Cheers to good friends, good wine, and one gorgeous place!
