This morning, I headed over to my parents house to get brunch with my Dad. Apparently we both got the green shirt and jeans memo, because we were dressed exactly the same. Like father, like daughter!
We went to The Six Restaurant, a lovely place in Studio City. The older I get, the more I appreciate brunch. Especially when it involves bottomless mimosas and beer…
The Six Restaurant has a great variety of appetizers, small plates, and entrées, which makes it really hard to choose what to order! My Dad and I decided to start with the Brussel Sprouts, which are seasoned with lemon, capers, sea salt and pepper. They were delicious!
For my entrée, I ordered one of my favorite dishes for brunch, Chicken and Waffles. The Six Restaurant served their chicken and waffles with red devil gravy and maple syrup. I wish there was a little more waffle with the dish, but it was still pretty fantastic.
My Dad ordered the Six Burger, filled with tomato, maytag blue cheese, onion rings, butter lettuce, and thousand island dressing on a brioche bun. It was juicy, tender and messy! Just the way a burger should be.
We ended our meal with the popular Banana Crème Pie, with oreo cookie crust, banana filling and a whipped cream topping. It was decadent and delicious!
I really enjoyed The Six Restaurant and definitely will be back in the future.
