I’ve been taking the train from New York to Connecticut quite often, which means I’ve been spending a lot of time at Grand Central Station. After a few weeks, I thought I’d seen everything that it had to offer… that is until I stumbled upon the Grand Central Market!
One minute I was in a bustling train station…
And the next minute, I was shopping!
Grand Central Market is full of seasonal produce, baked-fresh bread, gourmet cheeses and fresh meat. It also has ready-to-eat baked dishes and handmade chocolates. It reminds me of my favorite markets in California, Brentwood Farmers’ Market and the Farmers Market at the Grove.
The bread looked so delicious.
And so did the chocolate!
How cute are these cookies?
The Market makes picking side dishes for your meals easy, and you can also grab a portion for lunch as well.
Plus there are many, many different sauces and jams to choose from.
But don’t forget the main ingredients!
I love how the spices and herbs are displayed.
And if you really want to impress? After you pick up all of the ingredients for your meal, pick out some flowers to grace your table.
If you’re wondering, I love lilacs and peonies ;)

WOW! The selection of different foods/flowers are amazing! Munching on some of that food while you’re in the train sounds great to me!
Wow! I had no idea that this market exists, I’ll have to visit next time I’m in the City.
Enjoy! You’ll love it!
