I’m here I’m here I’m here! Cue every New York song ever written! I have arrived!
I started work two days after arriving on the east coast, so it was a whirlwind week to say the least! But between all of the hustle and bustle, I was able to have precious moments where I thought “I’m really going to love it in New York.”
I was lucky enough to arrive while it was still fall, so one day during lunch I walked over to Central Park to enjoy the trees. I will miss the weather in LA, but I’m SO happy to have autumn back! I spent my lunch hour sitting on a bench and enjoying the stunning beauty. It was absolutely perfect.
There aren’t many quiet moments in this city though, New York truly has an energy to it! Just wandering around leaves you with a feeling of excitement, like you never know what is around the corner.
In the past few days I stumbled upon the following:
The Christmas tree being put up at Rockefeller Center! My inner child was so excited, and I can’t wait to see the tree when it’s decorated! In fact, I can’t wait for all of New York to be decorated for the holidays!
I have also walked past several tapings of Good Morning America on my way to work. It was cool, but so crowded! No more walking through Times Square like a tourist for me!
Yesterday Cosmopolitan took over Times Square to donate $1 to the USO for every virtual kiss sent through cosmopolitan.com! The setup was adorable, and actress Ashley Benson was there supporting the troops. It was a really fun event, and the perfect way to procrastinate on my way to work!
I’m so excited to be living here! I’m falling fast, and I’m sure it’s just a matter of time before I’m head over heels for New York!
And to think this is just the beginning…

Love the photos. The color of the trees are amazing!
Thank you! It was gorgeous!
How cool! I’d love to visit there. That’s my goal.
You will love it :)
Im impressed at how you managed to catch all of these iconic moments in New York. Looks like you were in the right place at the right time. The trees don’t stay that beautiful for long before they look shed away all their leaves, and the tree at Rockerfeller center doesn’t stick around unlit for very long either. Good job capturing the feel of the city in the fall.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the pictures!
I really love NYC!
