One Pico at Shutters on the Beach

Yesterday Jessie and I grabbed lunch at One Pico, the restaurant inside the Shutters on the Beach hotel in Santa Monica. I had never been to either the hotel or the restaurant before, and was really excited to try something new!

We were seated at a table with a gorgeous view. I liked this place already.

For her appetizer, Jessie ordered the Sweet Corn Soup, with jicama, shaved fennel and basil. It was absolutely fantastic.

For my appetizer I ordered the Pan-Seared Calamari, with cherry tomatoes, garlic, basil, lemon and arugula. It was refreshing and light, a perfect starter.

For her entrée, Jessie ordered the Ricotta Tortellini with roasted tomatoes and basil. It was pretty much perfect.

For my main course I ordered the Dry-Aged Burger, which was topped with caramelized onions, roasted tomato, truffle pecorino, and came with a side of fries.

All I can really say is YUM.

I absolutely loved this restaurant and can’t recommend it enough! With breathtaking views and wonderful food, One Pico couldn’t have been better. I plan on going back soon to try their brunch.

Hope you all had a great weekend!
