My friend Jenny is a Vegas pro, so before my trip I asked her for restaurant advice. She recommended Mesa Grill, which sounds a lot like another Vegas restaurant, barMASA… You can guess where this is going! We made reservations at the latter, and I’m really glad that we did! (Don’t worry Jenny, we did end up going to Mesa Grill too!)
barMASA is a Japanese restaurant at the ARIA by Chef Masa Takayama. The restaurant has great sushi, and even has a sake sommelier! How fun is that?!
My cousins and I got all dressed up for dinner, and after a few Instagram photos headed down to the lobby to meet up with the rest of our family.
Since the ARIA is right next door to The Cosmopolitan, we walked over and were greeted by one of the coolest restaurant entrances I’ve seen!
We sat down and began the tough decision of choosing what to order.
My aunt asked me to pick an appetizer roll, and I chose the Lobster Tempura Roll. I kept my choice a surprise until it arrived, and since it was gone in seconds I’m pretty sure I chose wisely!
My aunt Laurie loves crab, and we were all a little jealous when her Fried Soft-Shell Crab arrived! Luckily, she was happy to share!
Brittany ordered the Fried Garlic Chicken Karaage, and I snuck a piece. It was fantastic!
Jamie loves sashimi, and her Salmon Sashimi Sake arrived looking so pretty!
My mom and I shared the Seared Salmon with Avocado and Tempura Flakes Roll.
We also shared the Soft-Shell Crab Roll, and it was fantastic! Guess I like crab a lot too Aunt Laurie!
Trisha and my grandma got the Peking Duck with Fois Gras in Moo Shu Skin. It looked great!
After a fabulous dinner, we headed off to enjoy Vegas at night…

Enjoy!

Thank you! The shoes were fun… when in Rome, right?!
Hey Ashley, this restaurant looks amazing! The soft-shell crab is like a little fried christmas present. And the salmon sashimi… yum!! I wish I could’ve been there!
Haha “fried christmas present,” I love that! I hope you go next time you’re in Vegas!
