Summer is slowly winding down. Before we know it the leaves will change and it will be boots and scarf weather. But before fall officially arrives, I had to check one more activity off my summer to-do list: watching a movie at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. Each summer Cinespia puts on weekly outdoor movie screenings on Fairbanks Lawn, a grassy field inside the cemetery.
This past Sunday they were showing The Breakfast Club, an 80’s classic. I couldn’t think of a better way to spend Labor Day weekend!
Emmie, my sister and I got there early, took our place in the already-long line and started our picnic.
The doors finally opened at 7:00 p.m. and we made our way through the beautiful cemetery.
We set up our picnic, opened a bottle of wine and watched the sunset.
The sky kept getting pinker and pinker!
Finally it was time for the movie to start.
It was such a wonderful night and I can’t recommend Cinespia enough. Hurry, there are only a few screenings left!
