On Monday, Mom met me after work for dinner at Toscana, a great Italian restaurant in Brentwood. I had been to Toscana just the week before, but I enjoyed my meal so much that I couldn’t wait to go back!

You’re greeted with fresh veggies as soon as you take your seat at the table…

… And some bread, drizzled with olive oil.

Mom and I were both in the mood for fish, so we agreed to get two different dishes and split them.

I ordered the Salmone Con Rucola, or grilled salmon with arugula and tomatoes. I loved the presentation and loved the taste even more! Mom definitely didn’t get much of this from me.

Mom chose the Trancie Di Branzino, or grilled pacific sea bass fillet. It was delicious as well!

You can’t go to an Italian restaurant without getting some type of pasta. It’s the #1 rule, right?! So Mom and I split the Gnocchi A Piacere, or potato dumplings in pomodoro sauce. It was the best gnocchi I’ve had in a long, long time.

Mom didn’t get much of this either. Whoops.

When it was time for dessert, I walked up to the kitchen counter to see their choices. They didn’t disappoint. Pies, cheesecake… everything looked so amazing.

Every table gets served these sweet puff pastry thingies (for lack of a better word). Yum!

I also had to get the tiramisu. Which was probably the best decision I made all night. It was so amazing!

Alright, one more picture. Just because it was so pretty…

Mom’s company + a tasty meal = the perfect Monday night (or as perfect as a Monday can get!).
