Uber

Hello dahhhlings (said in a posh accent), I would like to introduce you to my new private driver, Uber:

No no, not the man, the car. Uber is a private car service and app that allows you to order a car from your cell phone and within a few minutes a sleek black car arrives to take you wherever you want to go. It’s super classy with absolutely no hassle.

I received a giftcard from Uber in my Spa Night Out gift bag, and I figured the perfect time to try it was when I landed at LAX after my trip to Ireland. I was exhausted, jet-lagged, and landed during LA’s worst traffic. A taxi just wasn’t going to cut it, especially since I knew the traffic would run up the meter. I ordered an Uber car, which has a flat rate from the airport, when I got in line for customs. By the time I stepped outside Uber was waiting to take me home… to my penthouse, where I have servants. Okay, no not really, but that’s how Uber makes you feel!

The entire experience is very classy and luxurious, from the courtesy of the driver to the complimentary drinks. You keep your credit card on file with Uber, so you don’t have to deal with paying or tipping your driver directly (cash is for commoners). Instead you just get in the car and go!

Uber is my new favorite thing. Order a car for your next airport trip or night on the town, put on your biggest Audrey Hepburn sunglasses, and sit back and relax.

Enjoy the ride.

  1. Cant wait to to hear about your trip to Ireland. Just a reminder that uber is good for longer trips since they have a minimum rate or for their flat rate services like you did from the airport. Hopefully you will be getting their taxi services soon too. Cheaper but just as luxurious!
