Yesterday Mom and I were in the mood for some really good pizza. I immediately suggested 800 Degrees Neapolitan Pizzeria, a pizza place in Westwood that I’ve heard so much about and have been meaning to try for a while.
The pizzas are made right in front of you and the wide variety of ingredients were making me hungry…
Just look at this cheese:
My Mom ordered the Vege, a specialty pie with mushrooms, artichokes, and broccolini.
I got the Tartufo, a pizza with truffle cheese, mushrooms, roasted garlic, and arugula. I was sold at the word ‘truffle.’
We ordered a Pollo pizza for my sister, which has chicken, gorgonzola, and caramelized onions. She also added some mushrooms to her pizza, which I thought was a great choice.
Finally, we picked up the Capricciosa for my Dad, which was topped with artichokes, mushrooms, olives, and ham. Yum!
Every pizza (I tried them all!) was great and the crust was delicious. It was a perfect Sunday dinner spot! Apparently I wasn’t the only one who thought so, because the line was out the door on our way out!
