Villa Blanca

This past Monday Ashley and I went to Villa Blanca, Lisa Vanderpump’s posh Beverly Hills restaurant.

The restaurant serves Mediterranean, Italian and Asian food in a beautifully decorated, warm environment.

We purchased a fixed, four course tasting menu from Gilt which featured an appetizer, salad, entrée and dessert.

First up was sliced french bread served with a delicious olive spread.

Our appetizer was the Crispy Rice & Spicy Tuna, which was ahi tuna mixed with aioli on pan seared rice cakes with red jalapeno. It was a perfect start to the meal and I could have eaten ten more!

For the salad course, we were served the Caprese A La Villa Blanca, which was burrata, heirloom tomatoes and avocado layered with basil and a balsamic reduction. It was without a doubt my favorite part of the meal and I loved the presentation.

I chose the Chicken Milanese for my entrée, which was thinly sliced chicken breast encrusted with panko and cornflakes and served with mashed potatoes and broccoli. The chicken was good, but the sauce served with it was even better.

Ashley ordered the Pappardelle Bolognese, which was ground beef and lamb ragu with onion, carrots, and shaved parmesan. It was hearty comfort food and she really enjoyed it.

For dessert we were served English Toffee Pudding with vanilla ice cream. As I’ve mentioned before, toffee pudding is one of my favorite desserts and Villa Blanca’s pudding did not disappoint!

There’s nothing better than a good meal to start off the week. We will definitely be back here soon and will hopefully bump into Lisa next time!
