This past Saturday, Ben and I went to the Farmers Market at The Grove. We spent the day walking around the stalls and basically eating everything in sight.
I was expecting it to be a lot of fruit and vegetables. You know, “farmer” stuff.
But besides a few produce stalls, most of the market had permanent restaurants and shops. So it’s closer to a very large food court than to a farmers market, but with MUCH better food.
I made Ben circle the whole market twice with me before I was able to decide what to eat. There were so many amazing looking options, especially for dessert!
We decided to start with “real” food, and ordered a Bacon & Egg Boreka from Moishe’s Village.
Then we moved on to a Beef Gyro from Moishe’s Restaurant. I’m beginning to wonder who this Moishe is…
Ben liked the Gyro, but I didn’t really care for it.
After getting lunch out of the way, we decided it was time for dessert! We split a Giant Macaroon from Normandie Bakery, and I LOVED it!
Luckily Ben was on hand to be a macaroon model!
Then even though we were full, we decided to round the day off with waffle cones from Gill’s. I chose pistachio ice cream and Ben stuck with mint chocolate chip.
The ice cream was really good too, which made the desserts the clear winner of the day.
The Famers Market is open every day all day, so it’s not just a Saturday event. Plus, its location means that you can do some shopping at my happy place, The Grove, afterwards!
