Malibu Seafood: A Meal with a View

On a beautiful and sunny California day (which is pretty much everyday), there is nothing better than taking a scenic drive along the Pacific Coast Highway. The day will be even better if you grab a meal at Malibu Seafood Fish Market & Patio Cafe.

Malibu Seafood is touted as providing some of the best seafood on the coast. The fish market offers a wide variety of fresh fillets and shellfish.

Just look at the color of that salmon!

The food served in their cafe is also noteworthy. The seafood is simply prepared, but the flavors are great and above all, the fish is extremely fresh. My go-to order is always the fish and fries.

My friend was a little more adventurous and ordered the squid steak sandwich, which is served on sourdough bread with lettuce, tomato, red onion and tartar sauce.

Once our food was ready, we went up to the seating area to dig in.

The view while you eat isn’t too shabby either.

The best part about Malibu Seafood is obviously its proximity to the ocean. After lunch, cross the highway (carefully!) and take a stroll along the water.

Malibu Seafood is B.Y.O.B… so grab your favorite bottle of wine, bubbly, or beer, and cheers to great food and an even better view! You can find out more about Malibu Seafood here.

  1. Great blog! I love this restaurant Sara. It’s such a great place to watch famous Malibu sunsets, sip wine and enjoy really good food with friends! Quintessential California experience for tourists and residents alike. Bring along a table cloth and your jacket and get there early to nab a table for prime viewing. :)
