At the end of my Color Run post, I put up a picture of a grilled cheese sandwich. Who doesn’t love a good grilled cheese? It’s the ultimate comfort food. Luckily, there is a food truck entirely devoted to making these tasty morsels.
I introduce to you, the Grilled Cheese Truck:
Now, it’s really hard to order just one grilled cheese sandwich. Why, you ask? Take a look at this menu:
After debating for 10 minutes (the line was long), I decided to order four. Yes, I said four. Don’t judge me.
My first sandwich was the Cheesy Mac Melt, which is filled with cheddar and macaroni and cheese on french bread.
Next, I tried the Brie Melt. This bad boy was filled with brie, apple slices, thyme, toasted almonds and wildflower honey, served on cranberry walnut bread. I highly suggest adding bacon.
My third sandwich was the Goat Cheese Melt, which is stuffed with whipped goat cheese, herbs, smoked tomatoes, spinach, and caramelized mushrooms on olive bread. Yum!
My fourth and final sandwich, the French Onion Soup Melt, was my favorite of them all. This sandwich is filled with gruyere cheese, onion soup compote, and a parmesan crust, served on french bread with onion soup broth on the side. Sadly, this picture doesn’t begin to do it justice.
All in all, you can’t go wrong with any sandwich you order. They are all amazing! I suggest ordering a few different sandwiches and splitting them with friends.
