The Color Run: The Happiest 5K on the Planet!

This past weekend I participated in the Color Run, a “race” of epic proportions.  When I heard that running was optional, I knew that this was the perfect opportunity to try my first 5K.

It works like this: you begin the run in pristine, white t-shirts.

If this wasn’t a perfect excuse to rock a fanny pack, I don’t know what is.

Throughout the race there are different Color Zones, and at each checkpoint you get dosed with a different color.

By the end you are completely covered in color.  And look like this:

To make sure we didn’t actually burn any calories, we ended the Color Run with this bad boy:
