This past weekend Mom and I went to Artisan Cheese Gallery, an adorable cheese and sandwich shop on Ventura Boulevard in Studio City. We walked inside and headed straight to the cheese counter to scope out the selection.
In addition to cheese, Artisan Cheese Gallery also has a large selection of wine, condiments, pastas, and other packaged goods, all of which looked delicious.
We started off our meal with a gorgeous looking cheese plate. From top to bottom are cheddar, brie, and gouda cheeses.
All three were amazing, but the brie was my favorite.
For lunch my Mom ordered the duck confit sandwich, which was filled with duck confit, fig jam and Le Marechal cheese (a cow’s milk cheese from Switzerland) on Ciabattina bread. The duck was perfect and I stole half of her sandwich.
I ordered the turkey sandwich, which was filled with turkey breast, French brie, sliced granny smith apples, pickled red onion and arugula on a baguette. It was pretty wonderful too.
I can’t think of a better place to go for a glass of wine, good food and great company!
